 Gun control Supporters Welcome, but;
Can you please tell me what you don't understand about:

To prohibit a citizen from wearing or carrying a war arm . . . is an unwarranted restriction upon the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of constitutional privilege.

[Wilson v. State, 33 Ark. 557, at 560, 34 Am. Rep. 52, at 54 (1878)]

Every 13 seconds
an American gun owner uses a firearm
in defense against a criminal.
That Washington DC's low murder rate of 80.6 per 100,000 is due to strict gun control, but Arlington, Virginia's high murder rate of 1.6 per 100,000 is attributable to the lack of gun control.
* American Women use handguns 416 times a day in defense against rapists, which is a dozen times more often than rapists use a gun? * A gun kept in the home for protection is 216 times as likely to be used in defense against a criminal than it is to cause the death of an innocent victim in that household.
The study estimated almost 200,000 deaths from untoward drug treatment, on which no cost figure was placed. It suggested that if lost economic productivity estimates were added to the direct-cost calculations, the total cost of all preventable drug use problems could be as high as $182 billion.
47 School Shootings/Incidents Involving SSRIs

That 1 firearm owner in 10,000 will commit an act of violence in his or her lifetime, and this is far more frightening than the 25% of drivers who will cause a serious or fatal accident.
That a criminal will take a gun away from you and use it against you, so conversely, the best thing to do when threatened is to take the criminal's gun away from him and us it against him.

That we must get rid of guns because a deranged lunatic may go on a shooting spree at any time, but anyone who owns a gun out of fear of such a lunatic is paranoid.

  •  No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion. ~~ James Burgh, Political Disquisitions: Or, an Enquiry into Public Errors, Defects, and Abuses [London, 1774-1775].

"The time has come for us to openly discuss something that up to this time we have mainly whispered about. The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to threaten the government. The framers of our Constitution knew that government is a necessary evil, which, as in the case of the British government, could easily become more evil than necessary. The Founding Fathers wanted to ensure that should that situation again come to pass, the American people would have the capability to reclaim their country by force of arms."
-- Lt. Harry Thomas, Cincinnati Police Division

That car keys, umbrellas and hairspray are good tools for self-defense, despite the fact that police continue to carry guns. That the ready availability of guns today, with only a few government forms, waiting periods, checks, infringements, ID, and fingerprinting, is responsible for all the school shootings, compared to the lack of school shootings in the 1950's and 1960's, which was caused by the awkward availability of guns at any hardware store, gas station, and by mail order.

We Live in a REPUBLIC Quit calling it a Democracy!

Benjamin Rush

The adoption of Democracy as a form of Government by all European nations is fatal to good Government, to liberty, to law and order, to respect for authority, and to religion, and must eventually produce a state of chaos from which a new world tyranny will arise.
Duke of Northumberland 1931

De Tocqueville once warned us that: "If ever the free institutions of America are destroyed, that event will arise from the unlimited tyranny of the majority." But a majority will never be permitted to exercise such "unlimited tyranny" so long as we cling to the American ideals of republican liberty and turn a deaf ear to the siren voices now calling us to democracy. This is not a question relating to the form of government. That can always be changed by constitutional amendment. It is one affecting the underlying philosophy of our system -- a philosophy which brought new dignity to the individual, more safety for minorities and greater justice in the administration of government. We are in grave danger of dissipating this splendid heritage through mistaking it for democracy.    Archibald E. Stevenson

Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.

I have long been convinced that institutions purely democratic must, sooner or later, destroy liberty or civilization, or both.

Thomas Babington Macaulay

...democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.

James Madison

certain kinds of arms.

There is nothing in there that says handguns

can be kept or not kept where shotguns can.

Nothing.

I sure do not see anything

in there that gives Congress any leeway

whatsoever

to

infringe

second amendment rights

whenever some group of anti-gun zealots

think what they like to call the  'public interest'  requires it.

[The PUBLIC INTEREST IS  to PRESERVE and PROTECT]

The

"Constitution of the United States of America."

That is WHAT THE "PUBLIC INTEREST"

IS
  and nothing else!

You TRAMPLE on the Constitution;

you trample on the

PUBLIC INTEREST."

NOW, EAT WELL TO BE STRONG.!!

UNTIL ALL KNOWN HORTICULTURE, BOTANY, AGRICULTURAL, ETC., KNOWLEDGE HAS BEEN USED, And ALL ORGANIC MEANS OF PESTICIDES, FUNGICIDES, ETC. HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED.

(WITHOUT JUMPING TO ALTERING WHAT IS NOT KNOWN ABOUT, OTHER THAN HOW TO DO IT.
*AND A  "NO PATENTS OR LAWS ARE ALLOWED ON SEEDS OR PRODUCTS ARE LAW" THIS SCIENCE MOST LIKELY WILL NEVER BE FOR THE GREATER GOOD)
AS WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN THE CORPORATIONS- ALLOWED BY WE THE PEOPLE HAVE TRIED TO CRUSH THE ORGANIC FARMERS OF THE WORLD, BY SUING THEM IF THEIR MUTATED SEEDS BLOWS INTO A ORGANIC PROPERTY-RUINING SAID ORGANIC TENDER OF THE PLANET, AND IN COURT CLAIMING THEY STOLE THE POLLINATED SEED THAT DE-ORGANICED ALL THE YEARS OF WORK OF SAID FARMERS CROPS.

"GMO's ARE  MORE OF PROFIT THAN ABUNDANCE, IN THIS OBSERVERS OPINION. OR THEY WOULD NOT CONTROL THE GROWERS BY FORCING THEM TO BUY THEIR SEED, (AND MAGIC FERTILIZER THAT IF NOT PURCHASED- THE PLANT AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS GROWING -DIES- , AND OR THE SEEDS ARE STERILIZED AND WILL NEVER GROW FROM THE FRUIT OR ITEM. THAT IS ABOUT RULE OF POWER.

NOT ABUNDANCE OF FOOD FOR ALL.
